St. Andrew’s School recognized the need to replace its existing HVAC equipment, which had reached the end of its life and was no longer meeting the school’s growing demands. The outdated system was inefficient, and maintaining clean, properly filtered air for students and staff spending long hours in the building became a critical priority.
The school also had plans for future renovations and additions. To meet both immediate needs and long-term goals, the solution needed to improve air quality while also freeing up space for future developments. Phasing was a key element of the project, carefully planned to minimize disruption to school staff and ensure a smooth process with minimal impact on daily operations in time for school to start.

The Transformation
Approach
The project involved replacing the existing HVAC system with new, more energy-efficient equipment, following a redesigned layout that freed up valuable interior space for future school renovations. Structural reinforcements were made to accommodate the new equipment, while old HVAC units were removed from the planned future concession area.
To minimize disruption to school activities, construction was carefully scheduled during the summer break. One classroom impacted by the work received a facelift to ensure minimal disruption. This comprehensive solution not only improved air quality but also prepared the school for future expansion, creating a healthier environment for everyone.
