Located in the heart of downtown Columbus, Ohio, Nationwide Children's Hospital is home to America’s largest pediatric hospital and the Abigail Wexner Research Institute. InDecca was contracted to renovate five men’s and five women’s public restrooms in the Wexner Annex, positioned next to the main hospital. These restrooms, located on the first floor near the auditorium, were in need of modernization to provide a more comfortable and hygienic experience for visitors. The goal of the renovation was to enhance the restroom facilities while ensuring they aligned with the hospital's commitment to providing a top-tier healthcare environment.
The renovation project included a comprehensive scope of work, beginning with demolition and followed by the installation of new metal studs, drywall, electrical wiring, and switches. The suspended ceiling tiles and grid were removed and replaced, while new LED lighting was added to improve visibility and energy efficiency. The walls of the sink and toilet areas were upgraded with elegant glass tiles, and all plumbing fixtures, including touchless faucets and flush valves, were replaced to promote water conservation and reduce germ exposure. Additional upgrades included the installation of new toilet partitions, countertops, backlit mirrors, soap and towel dispensers, and fresh paint. The result is a clean, modern, and efficient restroom facility that enhances the overall visitor experience.
