In the center of downtown Columbus, Ohio is America’s largest pediatric hospital, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Abigail Wexner Research Institute.
InDecca was contracted to renovate 5 men’s and 5 women’s restrooms in the Wexner Annex next to the main hospital. These photos are of the public restrooms located on the first floor near the auditorium. The objective was to provide updated restroom facilities that would enhance the visitor’s experience.
After demolition, the project consisted of new metal studs and drywall, electric wiring, and switches. Remove and replace the suspended ceiling tiles and grid, and install new LED lighting. The sink and toilet walls had new glass tiles installed, plumbing fixtures, toilet partitions, countertops, backlit mirrors, soap and towel dispensers, and paint. All faucets and flush valves were upgraded to touchless motion sensor controls to achieve greater water conservation and germ control.
